In the Moremi Reserve one can experience excellent views of Savannah game as well as bird-watching on the lagoons. There are also thickly wooded areas, which are home to the rare African wild dog and leopard. To the northeast lies the Chobe National Park which borders the Moremi Game Reserve.

The campsite is located along the Khwai River which is a beautiful watercourse lined with vast flood plains and shrouded by giant evergreen trees. It flows from the Okavango Delta to form part of the border of Moremi Game Reserve. This area is popular for the abundance of diverse concentrations of wildlife.

Considered to be one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana, the floodplains of the Khwai River are home to a wide variety of animals and birds.

In the afternoon you go out into the bush again for a game drive.

    4. Day 5 Moremi Khwai area (camping)

Today is the day you go out on a mokoro excursion.
This is the way to get as close as you can to mother nature as possible.

The mokoro or makoro  is a traditional canoe-like vessel commonly used in the Okavango Delta as a popular mode of transport and now utilised for game viewing safaris.
