    1. Days 1 - 5 Cape Town

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and assisted to your rental car. You will then be escorted all the way to your Cape Town Guest House by following our Meet and Greet representative to the guest house.

Cape Town is voted one of the top cities in the world and with good reason. It is a vibrant, cosmopolitan and eclectic city, not to mention a beautiful one. You’ll find whatever it is you want from a holiday in Cape Town, whether it’s relaxing on white sand beaches, partying the night away in trendy night clubs, savouring the views from Lion’s Head, hiking up Table Mountain, fine dining in Constantia or shopping up a storm at the V&A Waterfront. What’s more, it’s a great place to visit all year round.

Rosedene guesthouse has twelve rooms with an afro-chic fusion of colonial splendour; offering renowned African hospitality; large enough to maintain anonymity yet small enough to care. Perched high above Table Bay, Rosedene offers views of the bustling city and harbour lights as well as picture perfect views of the mountain. Minutes away lie Camps Bay and Clifton and a few minutes stroll away from your front door is Kloof Street with over 30 cosmopolitan restaurants. Whether your aim is pleasure or business, the unique combination of a country home atmosphere and efficient personal service will suite your needs.

The next 5 days will be spent enjoying all that Cape Town and surrounds has to offer. We suggest a walk up Lions Head, a visit to the top of Table Mountain, a day spent one of our beautiful beaches, a walk around the Waterfront, a visit to Cape Point, Boulders and perhaps an ostrich farm. We also suggest a beautiful long walk along the Seapoint Promenade and then of course a drive along our beautiful coastline which covers Chapmans Peak Drive. For the adrenaline junkies, a shark cage dive is always very exciting. Slightly further out of Cape Town are the beautiful wineland areas of Franschhoek and Stellenbosch and during whale season, Hermanus is about a 2 hour drive from Cape Town, but well worth the drive.

      Overnight: Rosedene Guest House
      Meals: Breakfast

    2. Day 6 Paternoster, West Coast

This morning following breakfast, you will depart Cape Town and head up the less tourist travelled coastline of the West Coast to Paternoster, one of the most beautiful towns.

One of the last traditional fishing villages on the West Coast and most certainly the most romantic and peaceful place on this scenic and wonderful coastline.
Paternoster offers many activities such as sea kayaking, whale, dolphin, seal and penguin watching, walks along the sandy beach or among the boulders, artistic expression through pottery and painting, and certainly a town well worth visiting on any trip up the West Coast.

Hoekie B&B, is rated 4 star, in the style of a quaint fisherman’s cottage on the main beach front of Paternoster.
We offer tranquil breakaways from your busy lifestyle. Sit on the porch with a glass of wine and enjoy the view of the most beautifull beach and sunsets or relax next to our pool on a sunny day.

With lots to do and see at Daisy, Springbok and the surrounding areas, this is a destination worth visiting over a few days. Bring the kids for a relaxing break in a farm style environment, where you can take walks in the surrounding Koppies, cycle, ride horses or run freely in the valleys.

After a day full of fun and adventure, you can relax at our pool, enjoy a nightcap at the Restaurant or just enjoy the brilliant stars and fresh unpolluted air.

    4. Day 8 Upington, Northern Cape

Other interests in Upington is the grave of Scotty Smith, our own Robin Hood, the steam train at the Railway station, the avenue of Palm trees on the Island, Kanon Island, an agriculture centre, sunset cruises on the river, and a wine tasting and buying experience at the Orange River Wine Cellars – the second largest in the world.

    5. Day 9 Twee Rivieren, Kgalagadi

This morning following breakfast, you will depart Upington for a 3 hour drive to Twee Rivieren in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park.
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is a large wildlife preserve and conservation area in southern Africa. The park straddles the border between South Africa and Botswana and comprises two adjoining national parks:
      • Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa
      • Gemsbok National Park in Botswana

The total area of the park is 38,000 square kilometres (15,000 sq mi). Approximately three-quarters of the park lies in Botswana and one-quarter in South Africa. Kgalagadi means place of thirst.

The park is located largely within the southern Kalahari Desert. The terrain consists of red sand dunes, sparse vegetation, occasional trees, and the dry riverbeds of the Nossob and Auob Rivers. The rivers are said to flow only about once per century. However, water flows underground and provides life for grass and camelthorn trees growing in the river beds. The rivers may flow briefly after large thunderstorms.
The park has abundant, varied wildlife. It is home to large mammalian predators such as black-maned Kalahari lions, Namibian cheetahs, African leopards, and hyenas. Migratory herds of large herbivores such as blue wildebeest, springbok, eland, and red hartebeest also live and move seasonally within the park, providing sustenance for the predators. More than 200 species of bird can be found in the park, including vultures and raptors such as eagles, buzzards, and secretary birds.
This popular rest camp offers a range of accommodation types to suit a variety of tastes and budgets including family cottages, chalets and camp sites.

Twee Rivieren is the Park’s largest rest camp and administrative headquarters. It is situated on the banks of the Dry Nossob Riverbed. Activities and facilities are diverse, as are the animals and plants found both within the camp and in the surrounding areas.
